Grace Adjekum

Wycliffe Bible Translators, London UK
email:grace_adjekum@sil.org

After many years of serving Bible translation work in her home country of Ghana, Grace Adjekum moved to London in 2000 to promote Bible Translation among the African and Caribbean churches in the UK. In 2004 she began making plans to return home to Ghana and resume work there but decided that before leaving the UK, she should undergo knee replacement surgery. Her doctors agreed. Grace’s procedure went as scheduled, but not as planned. “Something” happened during the surgery which left Grace effectively paralyzed from the waist down.
Now, after years of recovery and physical therapy, Grace remains in a wheelchair, but has resumed work helping to administer the Wycliffe Training Program in London. Despite her very difficult circumstances, Grace pushes on through her physical struggles, always toward her Savior, knowing that He has much Kingdom work for her to accomplish.

 Grace's birthday is Oct. 10th

Prayer & Praise Requests; (November 18, 2012)

Praise: Oh, praise the Lord at all times; for He is good. His mercies still endure, ever faithful ever sure!

1. I thank God for a successful visit to Ghana for the 50th Anniversary celebrations of GILLBT.
2. That GILLBT now has an office in Accra and trusting God for the rest of the building.
3. That I was able to discuss with the Anufo team, the part I’ll play in the Old Testament translation.
4. That I’m still able to contribute to the training of new missionaries.
5. That my grandchildren were able to visit me by themselves.

Pray: “LORD, we cry out to You; make haste to us! Give ear to our voice when we cry to You. Let our prayer be set before You as incense.”

1. Pray for follow up of activities set out during the Anniversary celebrations.
2. For partners who will join together to build the training centre in Accra.
3. For support for the Anufo OT translation.
4. For a successful training session at the Wycliffe Centre from 19th November.
5. For my grandchildren, as they are separated from their dad because of their schooling.

Thank you for praising the Lord with me for His goodness and faithfulness, and for your continued prayer and financial support. GILLBT’s celebration is your celebration. We couldn’t have made it without you.

God’s richest blessings,

-Grace
