Chase was born and raised in the great state of Oklahoma. Raised in a Christian home he came to have a relationship with Christ as a child. However, it wasn’t until middle school that he really began to understand what it meant to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. For the first time the Apostle Paul’s words began to make sense, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me” (Galatians 2:20).
Throughout high school and college God continually placed people in Chase’s life to teach Him the Word and model what it meant to follow Jesus. It was during high school that he felt called to youth ministry. Through a series of events and situations the call to pursue youth ministry crystallized, and he went to John Brown University and majored in Youth Ministries.
Chase is passionate about youth ministry. Whether it’s discipleship, teaching, leadership development, retreats, or mission trips, he has a desire to equip the next generation with God’s Word. With all of the “false hopes” that our culture presents to us, it is critical that our students know the real hope we have in Christ.
He has worked with a mission organization, LeaderTreks, leading mission and wilderness trips for youth groups around the country, and has been serving at CCC as the Middle School Pastor since 2008.
He has been married to his beautiful wife, Abby, since 2008 and they have three children, Cade, Amaya, and Cooper.
