He was raised in a Christian home, but was led to the Lord by an after-school Bible teacher at age 9½. His family moved to Tucson in 1977. His experience in his father's business led him to start his own plastering firm in 1986. Garett married Janelle in 1992. They have two sons, Luke and Cole. Both boys attended Desert Christian Schools. Garett and his family have attended Christ Community Church for over 20 years. He has been through the Timothy Leadership program and is involved in teaching classes at CCC. He has served as president of Youth Works, an organization for educating troubled youth and has coached little league baseball for over 10 years. Garett leads a group of fathers committed to raising their sons in a godly way. Garett brings a God-honoring faith and life, along with a strong supervisory, fiscal, and vision-setting experience to the elder board. Most importantly, he has demonstrated a life-transforming love for God and His people.
