Christ Community Church is a gospel-centered, loving fellowship of believers where people from all walks of life can come to know Christ as their Savior and grow as His followers. CCC has had a reputation of being a healthy, Bible-teaching and loving church in our community for over 50 years. You will find that it is a real church family that shares its joys and struggles, and where authentic love and community is practiced.
No. We want our visitors to feel welcome and comfortable. You won't be asked to stand or say something. People may greet you before or after the service, but besides that, the only time we ask visitors to "stand out" is if they want a packet of information about the church. If you raise your hand for a packet, an usher will hand you one during our welcome time. Other than that, we want you to take time to get to know us, to worship God, to hear the Word of God preached, to make friends, and to get connected to the church at your own pace.
No. Christ Community Church is completely independent of any denomination or affiliation.

How do I reach a pastor in an emergency?
During normal work hours, simply call the church office at 520-296-8501. After hours, you can reach the Pastor On Call at 520-603-5145.
How many missionaries does CCC support?
CCC contributes to the financial support of almost 40 individuals, couples and Missions agencies in the United States and 12 foreign countries. Click here to see a list of our missionaries.
How does CCC decide which missionaries it will support?
Christ Community Church has an extensive application process through which each applicant is scrutinized and evaluated to determine the authenticity of God’s calling the individual to missions ministry. The applicant must exhibit the skills, spiritual maturity as well as the earnest desire to serve God as His ambassador. For more information about applying for Missions support contact our Missions Pastor, Tim Arrington.
What is the purpose and mission of the Church?
The purpose of the Church is to glorify God (Rom. 15:5-6; 1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:17; 1 Pet. 4:11; Rev. 15:3-4). We believe that all who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit belong to the one true church, the body of Christ. The church’s objectives are to take the Good News to all people and to provide nourishment for spiritual growth. Our mission is the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20; Luke 24:44-49), to make disciple-makers. Believers in the fellowship share in teaching the Scriptures, observing the ordinances of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and fellowship with one another (Acts 2). To learn more about our mission and vision, click here.
Christ Community Church is a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church. We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God (Col. 1). We believe in the Triune God (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit who eternally exist as one God). We believe that Jesus took on flesh, adding humanity to His deity (John 1). He willingly came to earth through the virgin conception and birth, lived a sinless life, and died for our sins on the Cross (Phil. 2). He was crucified, died, was buried and arose on the third day (1 Cor. 15). Only those who trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord will go to heaven (John 14:6; Rom. 10; John 3-4). We believe that Jesus will come again to earth to gather His believers to Himself and to establish His kingdom. To read our doctrinal statement, click here.
How is Christ Community Church governed?
While we believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, a Board of Elders leads the Church. They cast a vision for the Church and make broad policy that governs the operation of the Church. The Church staff is co-led by an Executive Pastor for Ministry, a Lead Teaching Pastor, and an Executive Pastor for Administration. They are charged with enacting ministries that bring the vision into being while operating within the broad policy guidelines.
What does Christ Community Church believe regarding baptism?
We believe that baptism is only meaningful after a person professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Baptism is an outward profession of an inward faith. Baptism expresses a person's desire to be identified with Christ and His Church. We do not baptize babies or people who have not made a profession of faith in Christ. Baptism is an act of obedience following the command and example of Christ (Matt. 28:18-20, we do dedicate babies; see our link to Children's Ministries). We baptize by immersion.
Why does CCC take part in Communion only once a month?
Some Christian denominations have adopted the tradition of taking part in the Lord's Supper on a weekly basis. Scripture instructs us that every time we observe the Lord's Supper we do it in remembrance of Him (1 Cor. 11:23-26), but does not tell us how often we are to practice Communion. Therefore, at CCC, we have chosen to observe this ordinance on a monthly basis.
Are there scholarships available for your events/activities?
It is our desire that no student would be unable to attend any event or activity due to finances. With that in mind, we have a very limited amount of scholarship money available. If a student is in need of scholarship money for a particular event, he/she should contact a youth pastor (Rob Davis) to arrange a work project. It is important also to note we are never able to provide full scholarships for any of our activities.
What do I do with my child who is too shy to attend church events?
Just bring them! They may come kicking and screaming the first time, but there are very few incidents where we (being the youth staff and student leaders) are not able to reach out to them and get them excited about coming back. One of the greatest rewards of the ministry comes from seeing students grow in their relationships with other students and become comfortable as part of the group.
What is a good activity to bring a non-christian to?
We have a wide variety of outreach events throughout the year. These include such activities as our Harvest Festival, Easter celebration, super bowl party, rocks and ropes, community groups, and summer camp. We also share the Gospel in almost every Sunday service, and the sermons are Christ-centered, bringing each topic back to the Gospel, the Good News of Christ's life, death, and resurrection.
What community service programs are you currently involved in?
We are always on the lookout for a good service and evangelistic opportunities, but current activities we are involved in are Project Turkey, Angel Tree, the Prayer Encounter, and Festival of Hope. We are also part of various networks of churches that work together in evangelism and for the good of the community (For Tucson and Community Renewal).
When does Man-To-Man meet?
Man-To-Man meets on Tuesday mornings from 6:00-7:15 a.m. and on Monday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
“Sojourners” is the name given to our senior adult ministry at CCC. They represent a very vibrant and active segment of our church’s population. Sojourners meet weekly on Thursday mornings for Bible Study and fellowship. Special daytime outings are also scheduled each month. Come join us! (link to Sojourners page)
Do I have to be “old & retired” to join Sojourners?
No. Most Sojourners are age 50 and above, but this is not a requirement. And though many of our members are retired, some are still employed but have work schedules that permit them to attend the Thursday morning get-togethers.
