Although Diane grew up in five different states as part of an Air Force family, Tucson has been home since sixth grade. Her lifelong passion has been “all things children.”
After graduating from the University of Arizona, she taught for 16 years in TUSD, spent four years running an at-home daycare, and later served nearly 16 years as the Director of Children’s Ministries at El Camino Baptist Church.
She is now in her eighth year at Family Life Academy—one of Christ Community Church’s outreach ministries—serving her fourth year as head Administrator. Diane loves spending time with students wherever she finds them—especially at lunch recess, which she calls “the best dose of joy available to mankind.”
She and her husband, Jeff, have been married 45 years and have four adult sons, four daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren. They’ve also cared for both of their widowed mothers in their home
