Ryan McLouth

2021_ryanm_sepia2Ryan McLouth and his wife Abbey are natives of Missouri, coming to Christ Community Church most recently from the Kansas City area, where they both led worship professionally for a large church system.

His education consists of a Bachelor of Music Education with Instrumental Music Emphasis, a Master of Music in Guitar Performance from the University of Missouri—Kansas City, and a Ph.D. in Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum with Concentration Areas in Music Theory and Guitar from the University of Missouri.

Ryan came to Christ at age nine; saved at summer camp in a reformed church in his hometown. He began playing guitar at age ten, singing came shortly thereafter. Playing worship music began for him in high school and college, as he participated as a lead guitar player and singer in various praise and worship bands. Ryan has held positions in music and church settings for the entirety of his career. He has taught band and orchestra at the elementary through high school level, worked as a tenure-track professor at a college where he designed and directed an accredited Music Ministry Program for students aspiring to work as professional worship leaders, and directed the music, worship, technical, and communications teams at a multi-campus church.

Ryan and Abbey are blessed beyond measure for the opportunity to be part of the amazing family at Christ Community Church and look forward to being here for many years!
