Chris Grant was born in Los Angeles, California but has always called Tucson home. Moving early and often during his childhood, Chris spent many of his growing up years around people of various backgrounds and ethnicities, and this began to shape his sense of community with those around him. This commitment to community was only strengthened when he began attending CCC in 2001. Chris has served our church family in many capacities over the years, beginning with his time in the Children’s Ministry as a Sunday School helper with the 3 to 5-year-old kids. After being a Sunday school leader for many years, Chris changed gears in 2017 and began serving as a small group leader for the freshman boys in our High School Ministry. He can also be found on campus Thursday nights leading a Men’s Bible study. Chris has been a part of many camps, retreats, missions trips, Bible studies, and fundraisers, but the thing that brings him the most joy is opening the Word with students and helping them grow in their walk with Jesus Christ.
Chris met his wife, Rita, while they both attended Palo Verde High School. These high school sweethearts have spent the last 29 years together raising 3 beautiful children, Jordan, Masyn, and Evan. Rita and the kids have shared their love of music with our CCC family by participating actively in our Worship Ministry and engaging with the many events on campus. When they’re all together, the Grant family enjoys spending time around a table full of Rita’s cooking while engaging in great conversation. Chris is excited to follow wherever Christ is leading him and to see how God will continue to use him to faithfully serve his CCC family.
