No Stress Series of Events for Women

The long-awaited lazy days of summer are here. It's a time to slow down the pace of weekly meetings and such but we don't want to lose touch! Please join us at our No Stress Events.

• May 20 – Prayer Walk. We will meet at 6:00pm in the FLC-Dining for a simple meal, short devotional, and prayer walk around the CCC campus. A prayer guide and map will be provided (Optionally, you are welcome to stay in the gym and pray using the guided suggestions). We will return to the FLC for dessert and a closing prayer. Cost: $5.00. RSVP to Paula to help with our planning.

• June 10 – Exchange Party. So what’s an exchange party you ask? Have you ever attended a swap/jewelry exchange party? This is a great way to get together with friends, be eco-friendly, clean out your closet, and maybe even get some fabulous things for yourself. We will set up one table for jewelry, one table for scarves, and another table for purses. A game will be played to determine the order for choosing. Remaining items may be taken back home or optionally donated to a local charity. Mark your calendars and join us for a short devotional, game, swap, and dessert.

• July 15 - Book Club Night - For those of you desiring to stay in God’s Word this summer, you are invited to join us for our No Stress Event Book Club Night. We are reading Jen Wilkin’s book, Women of the Word – How to STUDY the BIBLE with both OUR HEARTS and OUR MINDS. Author Gloria Furman, gives this recommendation – “Think of this book as a maître d’ of a Bible study banquet—have a seat, here are your utensils, dig in, and enjoy.”  So, please accept our invitation to join us at the banquet and feast on God’s Word and be equipped to engage in God’s Word. We will meet, discuss the book, and enjoy a time of fellowship and dessert. Childcare provided. Books are available on Amazon (current price $7.99) or we can order one for you.
